Faith Hunter, Rachel Caine, Kalayna Price, and Chloe Neill have provided their superb stories in this single book. So this one book has a lot of creative stuff in it which cannot be left unappreciated. Justine O. Keef has not brought any variations for different stories and it was not really needed because every story was already perfect in presentation. In one of the stories Holly and Andrew really steal the heart of every listener as these two witches come face to face with troubles that they never thought about in their life.
They thought that they had everything under control with the help of their magic but it was not the case at all. Grave Witch and Grave Dance showed the power of magic to some extent but here the witches meet their match finally. Then comes the tale about a vampire who must save a woman instead of sucking the blood out of her body. This is astonishing because vampires don’t do such things as a routine because they are not a heart full of humanity.
In a nutshell, there is magic everywhere in this book and it has a lot of supernatural stuff which is not difficult to cope with as the words are easy and the narration is clear.
Those people who like continuity will feel a bit difficult to carry on with these short stories initially but after a while, they will get used to the flow. Fantasy tales usually don’t have a message in them so don’t try to look for moral lessons or messages, just try to enjoy the picture that different authors have created with the help of their imaginations.
