Iron Gold

Iron Gold is a science fiction and fantasy title. It is the fourth installment in the bestselling, Red Rising series. The book is beautifully written by Pierce Brown. He is a brilliant author of science fiction novels from the USA and gained a lot of popularity as a writer of his Red Rising series. Golden Son is one of the best chapters of that series. However, nothing could beat the class, quality, story, and characterization of the title chapter of the series which is Red Rising.

The audio narration of Iron Gold is done by a diverse cast of narrators. The names included are Tim Gerard Reynolds, Aedin Moloney, John Curless, and Julian Elfer. The narration didn’t go well at all. Apart from the substandard performance by the narrators, there were considerable issues with audio mixing as well, and that ruined the overall experience of this iron Gold novel in audio.

Betrayal and honor led to a caste-shattering kind of revolution in this action-packed Iron Gold novel.

A complete decade post the events of the Morning Star, you will find Darrow this time battling the remaining Gold loyalist armies along with the support of Rising. They were extremely close to completely eradicating the unwanted coded caste system which was deep-rooted into the Society. But then, the new enemy surfaced up from the shadows and was threatening the imperfect triumph, that Darrow and his allies had earned.

The plot and storyline of Iron Gold are really good and just like what you would expect from Pierce Brown. But, the major disappointment with this audio novel is from the narration which was way below average along with audio issues as well.
