Hush
Hush is a crime thriller title with an excellent story and a mystery. The book is the fourth installment in the Detective Harriet Blue novel series. It is beautifully written by James Patterson who was accompanied by Candice Fox as its coauthor. If you are a fan of mystery thrillers then you might be already familiar with the aura and the brand in which James Patterson is in that domain. If not then do check out his Blowback and the Triple Cross novels.
The audio narration of the Hush novel is done by Kathryn Hartman. It was a terrible performance which made this audiobook quite difficult to follow for the listeners. Harriet Blue was known to be a highly devoted sister and a top cop, and then she became an Inmate 3329 – Even the bars of the prison weren’t strong enough to stop her from seeking justice for the brutal killing of her brother.
For any former cop, prison could be a very dangerous place. This was what Harriet Blue was learning on daily basis. After having a tough fight for her life and as well as a severe lockdown prison-wide, the very last person that she wanted to have or see was Joe Woods. He was a Deputy Police Commissioner. He was also the man behind arresting her and putting them behind the bars. But Joe was not there to gloat. Tonya, his daughter, and her two years old child were missing. Then he had a deal for Harriet – Find his family and get your freedom.
As far as the plots, characters, and overall story of Hush are concerned, it is all so fantastic. You will enjoy all the twists and turns that it has got to offer. However, one big issue that you will find in this book is its low-quality narration.
