Homefront: An Expeditionary Force Audio Drama Special Audiobook
This book can be treated as a separate book because it is not a part of the mainstream. In general, the book is about different expeditions of the ship called the Flying Dutchman. The merry band of pirates have left looting the people of the earth long ago and when the enemy invaded the human colony, these pirates decided to save the human race. The task was not easy because the enemy came with a lot of firepowers.
However, for this bunch of heroes fighting such battles is a piece of cake. They have lived their life on the wire since the day they became pirates and they like tough tasks. Here the audience is told by the author Craig Alanson that the Flying Dutchman has finally succeeded in maintaining peace in the world. The enemy has retreated and this is not a temporary peace rather the enemy has gone forever.
Now the peace has been established permanently which means that the crew of the Flying Dutchman can finally return home. They were not afraid of the danger rather they wanted to go home because they have been feeling tired for a long time. Their ship also needs detailed repairs and they deserve a long vacation.
R.C. Bray, Robert Picardo, Lisa Renee Pitts, and P.J. Ochlan are narrating different characters in this episode thus the listener should be ready for a variety in narration. The story is close to SpecOps and Trouble on Paradise because of the fact that the real danger comes in the later stages. When the Flying Dutchman returns home, the crew finally feels that the real danger is waiting for them on the edge. They eradicate the thoughts of a vacation from their mind and go professional again.
