An ordinary girl was forced to select a tough path by none other than Rowena and now she kills the evil doers at night without mercy. Although she is the protector of the innocent this continuous fight with the evil has made her hardcore. Dani is not the same girl that she used to be when she was nine years of age and met Rowena for the first time. Still, all was going fine until the Hoar Frost King tried to destroy the earth.
The Faerie Queen stopped the destruction and with the help of the Song of Making everything was restored but still bigger evil came to the surface later on. The evil enemies that have been buried under the surface of the earth for a long time are finally rising to the surface and they want to dominate.
To dominate they have to make mankind their slaves. Dani wasn’t able to allow all of this so she rose against the odds to protect mankind. This time she needed more power in the form of Sword of Light, though she got the power she was forced to sacrifice too. At the end of the war, she had to sacrifice herself and no one can change her fate afterward.
The deed is signed and the immortal Ryodan cannot save his beloved no matter how hard he tries. Darkfever and Kingdom of Shadow and Light focused more on the story and this time Karen Marie Moning has tried to portray the characters in a better way. Amanda Leigh Cobb and Jim Frangione have narrated separate characters in great coordination thus don’t expect any mixing of voices.
