Grant Audiobook
Ron Chernow thinks that several people in history have been missing understood because they were not presented in the right way by historians. Also, a few of the old legends were not hailed as legends in the past because they were not able to defend themselves in certain issues.
Ulysses S. Grant is one of those men who achieved a lot in his lifetime but he also lost everything in front of his eyes as well. All of it happened because he was not understood properly by the people of the time. He performed very well in the Mexican War but his career ended in disgrace. The department for which he worked for such a long time wasn’t able to understand him the right way. Then he started a business which also ended in smoke within no time.
During the Civil, War people thought of Grant as a villain because of his decisions. So on every occasion, the man was found on the wrong end. Not a pessimistic voice is adopted by the narrator Mark Bramhall because the purpose of the book is not lamenting the past rather it is produced to understand it properly.
The man worked for the freedom of Black Americans and several epic adventures are actually linked to his life. Ron has written several biographies like Alexander Hamilton and Washington to depict the personalities of the past in the right way. It was his aim to bring the truth to the front of the audience. Ron has searched hard for the true events and these books show that he has gone through a hard toil to complete books of this kind.
