The people in the realm of Alera bind with the furies. There were different elementals there of earth, fire, air, water and metal. Tavi, a 15 years old boy struggles a lot with his insufficient knowledge on fury-crafting. But, the time when the homeland of Tavi explodes into chaos then his simple courage would go on to turn the tides of war. It was also coupled with the case when the rebels war with the furies and the loyalists clashed with the other furies.
The Furies of Calderon is a super exciting novel. You will love it for its strong characters and the gripping plot. The narration from Kate Reading was also spectacular. However, the editing of audio was quite bad. People found the sound effects quite absurd and irritating. It somehow overshadowed the strong performance of Kate Reading which in reality was just absolutely spectacular.
