Foundryside is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the opening book in The Founders Trilogy. The book is written by Robert Jackson Bennett. He is an amazing American author of speculative fiction he specializes in writing science fiction where Locklands is a very good one by him. City of Stairs is a wonderful fictional classic by the author.
The audio narration of the book is done by Tara Sands. It was ruined by the narrator. He made this book sound so childish and juvenile. Sancia Grado was a thief and she was quite a good one as well. Her latest target was a very secure and heavily guarded warehouse. It was on the docks of Tevanne. There was nothing in that world that her special abilities couldn’t handle. But, Sancia Grado was deployed to steal the artifact. It was known for having so much unimaginable power.
It was a kind of an object that could revolutionize scriving, which was a magical technology. The Merchant Houses were in control of that magic. That was the art of employing the coded command to instill the everyday objects with the help of sentience. They had already used it to convert Tevanne into a remorseless, huge capitalist machine. But, if they were able to unlock those secrets of the artifacts, then they would rewrite the entire world itself so that it could suit well with their aims.
Then Sancia was wanted to be dead by someone in those Houses. That someone also wanted to have the artifacts. There was no power in the city which could stop them. The book in terms of its story and characters is quite decent. The main issue is with the vocal performance which was quite frustrating and annoying.
