The audio narration of Faking Ms. Right is done by Jason Clarke and Emma Wilder. Jason was exceptional with his part while Emma was just about OK. Overall, it was a satisfactory performance.
Everly Dalton was the one talking, walking, and a dating disaster. She was not able to kiss frogs and was not able to go past her first-ever date. But, she was the badass at work. She was the one with the longest-serving terms as the assistant to Shepherd Calloway who was a billionaire. All of her coworkers use to think that how she could handle the big and bad wolf while never get bitten.
Shepherd was never interested to be the sugar daddy of anyone. He was fed up with women who like shim only for his money. He stopped dating and decided to stay focused on his business. But, then her gold-digging ex came to the scene and hit him hard at the point where it hurt him the most.
His idea to have Everly pretend as his live-in girlfriend was quite crazy. However, the timing for that was quite uncanny… Everly was willing to survive in the next few months with some faux romance. But, there was still one problem. Shepherd was unemotional and a single-minded robot kind of a boss. That was quite an awkward thing for Everly to experience and to cope with.
The story of this novel is just fine. The contact between the two lead characters was the inner dialogue mostly, while the real connection was lacking.
