He must find a new home before he gets surrounded by evil forces which will enjoy tearing him apart limb by limb. With him as a companion he has his magical cat named Geunhwyyar, it is the only creature in the land this elf trusts completely. Doubts and threats have made his life miserable but he has hope and a vision to create for himself a new world where he would be able to rule.

This book lies in the center of Homeland and Sojourn so without listening to the other two you would not be able to comprehend the aim and vision of the dark elf. Victor Bevine never left the show since book one, the trilogy is also narrated by him so get used to the voice of the narrator for a long time to come. Also the series has just started toward the real direction and the author will take some time to reveal all the things. One thing is for sure i.e the way the elf has chosen is not easy at all.
