Queen Takhisis planned to take over the world long ago and for this, she hired the dragon minions who agreed to her proposal. The dragon minions had no mercy in their hearts and they crushed whatever and whoever came in their way. It was just the thing which the cruel queen needed and she cashed on every moment after the war. Side of the innocent people started losing the war because fighting such creatures and a powerful enemy was not possible for them.
Between all of this, a group of friends emerged and it started heroically fighting against the minions. Soon the tables were turned and the enemy finally met its match in the form of these companions. Now many think that the queen will leave her dream and will return to the place from where she came. Fate, however, had other plans for the heroes, though all of them were working for one goal and were loyal to each other at the same time they had been keeping dark secrets.
The secrets were kept in darkness because those secrets could destroy everything for which the heroes have worked over the years. Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman bring out those hidden secrets in the open in the initial chapters of the novel. Paul Boehmer narrates the alarmed characters who have been working against the queen for many years.
The secrets that get leaked were bigger than anything in Dragons of Autumn Twilight and Time of the Twins. The bond of brotherhood gets broken because of the suspicious elements which rise to the scene still when the time comes all of us hope that we would see the heroes standing together.
