Dragon Blood – Omnibus

Dragons were rulers in the old days because they had the magic to heal and hurt people. Slowly the era of the dragons passed away because the dragons became extinct. More new technology and scientific stuff impressed the people and they stopped thinking about magical stuff. The bloodline of the dragons didn’t get extinct completely and even in the modern era, the author Lindsay Buroker introduces those who have the blood of the dragons.

Having the blood of the dragon means that a person can use magic according to his will. In the modern era, such a thing as magic is considered a curse so people started killing those with magical abilities. It is expected that sooner or later a time will come when those related to the line of the dragon will get eradicated from the world permanently.

For the people who have belief in the new world, it is good news but for those who are the decedents of the dragons, it is a message of their extinction. So this small group with magical powers decides to change the conception of the people about them. First thing is to catch the one who is behind the conspiracy against the dragons. Caitlin Davies likes narrating dragon tales and the narrator’s interest can be seen through performance.

The Blade’s Memory and Patterns in the Dark were also not scary and this book is a nice thing for the kids too. Magic and the whole thing about the dragons is so catchy that it will not allow you to go anywhere during the story. Some breaks are seen by the author but they were intentional to make the audience rest a bit.
