Down by the River

Down by the River is a contemporary romance novel. It is the third chapter in Grace Valley Trilogy. The book is written by Robyn Carr. Virgin River series is the one that made her the writer she is today. You will be booked for lots of literary entertainment if you have a go at a few best books from her literary archives. The most recommended one is Virgin River which is the main chapter of her bestselling series. The Family Gathering novel is another top-of-the-line novel from the author.

The audio narration of this book is done by Therese Plummer. She is a fantastic narrator and her performance in this book was right up to the mark.

June Hudson was the doctor of the town. She was a highly capable and caring woman, who had some explaining to do. People of the town started to notice that special blooming in her cheeks, and also that suspicious swelling of her belly. Jim Post, the DEA agent was back in the arms of June for good. He recently got retired and was eagerly looking for a new beginning in his life in Grace Valley. In that town, expecting the unexpected was the actual way of life. The people of the town were doing so much gossip then. They were curious to know what secret June and her aunt, Myrna were hiding. But when the dangers rose, threatening the town and June herself then the entire community got united to tackle the situation.

The entire trilogy with its storyline is beautiful and this ultimate chapter comes to a good conclusion. The story did get a bit slow in between but then it recovered well. Therese Plummer was consistent and superb with her performance throughout.
