Double Dare

Double Dare is a beautiful contemporary romance novel. It is the sixth chapter in the A Neighbor from Hell novel series. The book is written by R. L. Mathewson. She writes excellent romance which is dominated with some great humor and wit. A true example of her work is her Tall, Silent, and Lethal novel. You will also find the author at her best in the Tall, Dark & Furious novel.

The narration of this chapter is done by Fran Jules. She did perform well. She might just need to work a bit on her voices for fathers. She made them sound as if they are some 90 years old men.

Marybeth couldn’t still believe at all that she had managed to survive so long with Darrin as a friend. But, in a way she had also managed to beat all those odds and hasn’t given in to the temptation and to suffocate him using a pillow just when he slept. Indeed, all days are not the same and some are more difficult and troubled than others.

For a couple of decades, he has been biding his own time while waiting for the right time so that he could make his move. Finally, she has become his so he needs to do almost everything that he could to keep her by her side.

This book has got some good content but for many followers of the A neighbor from Hell series, this one was the weakest of all. The characters at some places behaved childishly in contrary to the situation. The audio performance however was quite good by Fran Jules.
