Don’t You Forget About Me is a contemporary romance novel. It is written by Mhairi McFarlane. She is a Scottish author and bestselling one in Sunday Times. She had a small stint as a journalist before making a move to full-time writing. It was worth the move as we get to witness a novel as good as her If I Never Met You. Her debut novel was You Had Me at Hello and it is worth listening to for romance lovers.
Madeline Gould handled the narration of this novel. As per the majority of the comments of the followers of this audiobook, it was a very good performance and she properly grabbed the essence of the personality of the characters.
If there is anything that could be worse than getting fired from the crummiest restaurant in the vicinity, then it is to find your boyfriend doing something nasty at home. It is to see him in bed with another woman. Georgina had to deal with double dumping in a single day. She took the very next job that was offered to her. It was of a bartender in a newly opened local pub. There is one problem here as well. It is run by the man whom she loved many years ago. You can make it two problems. That man doesn’t remember me at all.
Lucas has grown into a very handsome man who has a very successful business along with a nice dog as well. It also brought memories from her past and only she knows what happened 12 years ago.
The book tells a fascinating story where you will find a lot of other exciting stuff while not too much romance. You will like this book for what it is. Don’t pick this novel considering it is all about romance.
