Defiant Queen is the second volume of The Mount Trilogy. This is a contemporary romance novel which is written by Meghan March. She has written more than 30 novels where some of which have been bestsellers. She has written several series and trilogies and got a lot of appreciation, especially for her Dirty Billionaire Trilogy. If we talk about her novels individually then Black Sheep will come up as a very good one.
The audio narration of Defiant Queen novel is done by Grace Grant and Joe Arden. The male narrator was excellent but the female performer was just average. I am a kind of his entertainment. You can call me his toy. In a way, I am paying on debt for him. I always use to tell myself that I just hate him a lot. But, every time he comes into my room my body completely refuses to betray him. How is it possible for me to hate him and want him at the same time?
I was told that he would mess with my head and would go to war with my body. But, I had no idea that this would be complete anarchy. I must have known him a little better. When the involvement in anything has to Mount then there are no rules. I was positive not to surrender. I wouldn’t show any of my weaknesses. I would make the best of the bargain with both my soul and heart intact. But then his plans were completely different than mine.
The character development in this penultimate title of the trilogy could have been better. You will find the hero unsympathetic once again while the heroine also continues to be whiney.
