Death’s Mistress Audiobook
Terry Goodkind adds some characters of the previous books like Richard and Kahlan here to start the new series. These two characters are put in this first book for two reasons, firstly the author wanted to create an association in the minds of the old fans. Secondly, the book gets a solid foundation through this process and details about different situations and surroundings are not needed after that. Nicci the chief character in the story or the one around which the whole series revolves used to work for the evil emperor in the past.
She was not bad from the inside like the emperor but still, she used to work for him because she thought that he was on the right side. Dealing with everyone cruelly was taught to her throughout her life. Then one of her missions made her confront Richard Rahl.
She arrested the man because she wanted to prove to him that the emperor was doing the right thing. Ironically she failed to convince him and instead he convinced her. Now Christina Traister narrates about a changed Nicci who is in good relation with Richard and Kahlan. The war is now over and things have settled down well for all the characters.
Nicci here decides to select a new path for her and gets her first new job i.e to protect Nathan. Wizard’s First Rule and Stone of Tears are not from the same series but for those who have no information about Richard and Kahlan these two books are a must. These two are from the series “Sword of Truth” i.e the series which made the author famous.
