The fourth part of the series talks further about the war which has been going on among the four kingdoms for decades. David Estes started talking about this war in the first part of the series and nothing has gone in the favour of the heroes since then. The author wanted the heroes to toil hard for success and the struggle has kept on getting tougher in every episode. As for the narration of the series, Derek Perkins is doing a good job and there is really no need to change the narrator of the series.
Soulmarked and Truthmarked told us a lot about different characters related to different kingdoms. The first one is Annise who is trying to save Zelda but during this, she is destined to pay a heavy price that she really cannot pay. Lisbeth has some serious problems of her own because she is trying to take control of the army which if goes into the wrong hands will bring total chaos.
Rhea and King Gareth are also finding it tough to handle things in their domains because danger and disaster have come more than their expectation and they are slowly becoming hopeless too which is good for the enemies. There is prophesy out there which promises peace among the people of the four lands but not many people believe in it under such circumstances.
Roan has his belief in the thing and he thinks that he should continue finding the oracle who can bring merriment to the kingdoms. Enemies are getting stronger and they have calculated that this is the right time to invade the territories as the heroes are divided in their opinions.
