Tom Stechschulte is a wonderful narrator of this book. He tackles the plot with expertise. The pace and the portrayal of all characters are satisfactory.
The novel starts with a mission meant to thwart an assassination attempt on a noteworthy politician. But the operation takes an unpredictable turn when Mari is taken as a hostage. Mari is a GhostWalker. At the same time, Ken Norton is also on a mission of his own. He is also a GhostWalker along with being an expert assassin. He is trying to reach into Mari’s past. Things take an unexpected turn when their paths cross and they come face-to-face. Mari is no stranger to violent warfare and neither is Ken. They must join forces to overcome the difficulties fate has stored for them. It won’t be an easy task, yet by working together, they can be victorious. Mari must trust Ken and his every move, even if every move is becoming more intimate and sensual than the last one.
Christine has a way of commanding the attention of the audience with her characters and story. She keeps our attention till the last page. Even then, we are wishing for more.
