Anita Blake is soon going to change her surname because she is engaged to the hottest vampire i.e Jean-Claude. She has been a threat to the world of zombies since the day she joined service as the US marshal. The zombies and the evil dudes which she has killed over the past many years are infinite in number. Her attitude made her famous in the city and in her department too but after her engagement people see her as the future wife of the most handsome vampire in the town.
That attitude of the masses is not teasing for her because she loves the devil who has stolen her heart and has been with her on every occasion. Current issue which is assigned to her by the FBI is the most intriguing one for her. The case is related to zombie porn which of course is not a new thing. Such incidents have happened in the past but there is a big difference this time i.e the women present in the porn movies are not corpses.
Something is in their eyes, it seems that their souls are still intact to their bodies somehow. Whoever is doing all this wants to bring horror to both worlds. Kimberly Alexis narrates in a trembling voice on most occasions to show what is going on in the novel.
Laurell K. Hamilton has added many scary scenes in the novel so it is not advisable for the kids like Guilty Pleasures and A Terrible Fall of Angels. The porn related to the zombies is a sick thing that the author has presented and it just haunts the mind for weeks. Anita takes the help of Jean again in this case which was obvious because the case was related to his world.
