A simple girl is thrown in the battle zone and guesses what she proves to be very good at mind games. Imogen Peters had no interest in the aliens and the rest of the universe as she was doing well on her home planet i.e the earth. Then she was kidnapped by the aliens without any reason and they took her as a prisoner to their planet. There she was taken to the Class 5 battleship and she didn’t know for a long time about the reason because of which she was taken in.
Captain Camlar is the second major character that Christina Delaine narrates in this novel. Camlar was just searching for a mate and he was glad that he is going to meet her very soon. When Camlar met Imogen he was surprised to see a human female and then he realized that he was actually a prisoner on the battleship just like her.
The United Council was planning something really big which could start a war in the entire universe and Camlar has to stop it at any cost. Meanwhile in captivity Camlar also got the chance to admire the beauty and attraction of Imogen. Imogen starts to play her mind games at this point and here the audience finally understands the true talent of this female character created by Michelle Diener.
The Turncoat King and Dark Matters are somehow connected to this book through the theme. It is love season in all of these novels by Michelle. In the oddest of situations and scenes, the two main characters find space and courage to express love in these novels.
