The story is about an extraordinary heist that goes wrong in a bad way for Kaz and his team. The team has performed such heists on multiple occasions and they have earned a lot while working under their cunning leader Kaz.
They went out in a positive mood for this mission but they never thought that they would get stuck in such a bad way. At one stage they were so trapped that they thought that they would not be able to get out of the mess alive. Then they proved lucky that Kaz had a plan in mind which allowed them to come out of the trap alive. Now they are in a safe place but they don’t trust each other anymore.
There are some cracks in the team and this is not the only thing that Kaz is worried about. The people from the underworld are gathering for Jurda Parem. It is a dangerous drug and has a lot of importance for the underworld. Leigh Bardugo has kept the theme of Six of Crows alive in this novel.
The Grisha World is again in trouble and it is up to Kaz to come up with another plan if he has one in the mind. Ruin and Rising will be found on the way, just go on with these themes and you will love the outcome of every book. Kaz is the main character of this story and he has a good team, the problem is that the team is divided in its opinion after the last mission that failed in a bad way.
