Cleon Moon

There are many things that Captain Alisa has achieved over the years and her every mission is taken as an example of success and achievement. She has not been on the losing side for many years, only her crew members and some of the enemies know that she has lost one of the most important relations in her life i.e her only daughter Jelena. Her daughter was abducted by the enemies and no sign of her has ever been found since then.
Retrieval of the Staff of Lore brings another success to Alisa’s name and also she gets a hint of her daughter’s presence in the vast galaxy. With Leonidas i.e a cyborg on her side, Alisa has an advantage in any kind of war but some enemies want to get to her ship at any cost. A relic of supreme power is present in Alisa’s ship and she has to secure it otherwise the balance of power in the world would be disturbed forever.
Rogue groups of aliens and humans are in search of that relic and they can harm Alisa’s daughter too if she does not reach her in time. Lindsay Buroker has given the picture of a desperate mother in this novel for whom the success of all kinds and even the strongest power source in the galaxy is nothing in front of her daughter’s safety.
The Emperor’s Edge Collection and The Blade’s Memory had a fluent narration and Kate Reading’s narration is not very far behind in excellence in this part of the series. Book takes us to different parts of the galaxy and it is not like the galaxy which we usually dream of at night.
