Cibola Burn is a hard science fiction novel. It is the fourth installment in The Expanse novel series which is written by James S. A. Corey. Behind this name are two collaborating authors, Ty Frank and Daniel Abraham. They are known for writing The Expanse series which got a lot of appreciation. Leviathan Wakes is one of their most prominent novels. Moreover, they got excellent reviews for their Babylon’s Ashes novel as well.
The audio narration of Cibola Burn’s novel is done by Jefferson Mays. This change of narrator in this novel of the series was welcomed by the listeners as he narrated this novel with perfection.
The story of this novel sees the crew of the Rocinante going on a new frontier. The rush in the process of colonizing the different new plants was threatening a lot to outrun the law and order and to make way for chaos and war.
A new frontier found its way.
It was creepy to experience an empty apartment and a missing family. But this was just like finding a completely new military base that had no one on it. The tanks and the fighters were idling on the runway while having no drivers at all. That was bad juju. Something really bad happened there. What one should be doing there was to tell everyone to leave.
The gates made way to thousands of new worlds and that was the time when the rush to colonize those planets started. The independent settlers stood against the overwhelming power of a corporate-type colony ship. The innocent scientists there were getting slaughtered as they tried hard to survey the new, alien world.
The Expanse is the Hugo Award winner for the best series and Cibola Burn is one of its most prominent novels.
