The entire series about Ethan can be enjoyed through this book and it will provide you with the kind of fun which you have been looking for for a long time. Getting the trilogy in one box set with author John L. Monk’s name written on it is like buying a special treat for the weekend. It is the story of a man who is not a young teenage hero rather he is an old man of seventy years.
In this age, there is no heroic work expected of a man because all he can do is to live the remaining days of his life. Ethan is not like that as he has decided to come down on the bad guys with all the force which he has in his hands. In his retirement, he is given a chance to enter a game world where age does not matter and the old guys play this game for the sake of adventure or things that they were unable to get in their real life.
Gold or victory is not the objective of this old battle-ax rather he wants to get to his wife who is still out there in this virtual world. In the real world, Ethan lost his wife once and he is not going to do that again. So begins the quest of a man who is not going to retire this time and he has all the time in the world to get the job done.
Underpowered Howard and Hell’s Encore are good but these books are well understood when one goes through the other parts as well. This book has no such issue because all the parts are present in this one single thing which is narrated by Travis Baldree i.e the master in the field.
