This is the pseudonym of two romance authors who are Brooke Cumberland and Lyra Parish. They love to write a beautiful romance. The second chapter of the subject duet here is Checkmate: This Is Love. The narration of this chapter is done by Lia Langola. It was a good narration in a single POV voice while this book is written in dual POV. You will love to witness the gritty voice of Travis in this novel. The male voice will also give good vibes which you will also find fit for the character.
Travis King is the one who is known as the worst ever a**hole in this world. He always taunts me a lot for being a nice girl and he also never misses out on an opportunity to mock my high standards. He is crass, cruel, and has got good enough confidence which may last for a couple of lifetimes even. Cutting the long story short, I just hate him with all my might. It doesn’t matter much if he is kind of avoidable. But considering he is the best friend of my elder brother and also his roommate, I get to see him a lot than I really would like to. I even had a crush on him since I was only ten years old. But, it is not working out at all.
The story at times felt disconnected from the characters. You will come to witness the characters coming out of anger all of a sudden and then explode with emotions. This makes the story an average listen. However, the narration was specifically good.
