Broken Veil

Not a male-dominated story this one as the two leading characters in the story are women. Cettie Pratt used to live in the slums of the city once and she was ready to do anything to get rid of her miserable life. Then an opportunity was given to her and she grabbed it very quickly. Her poverty and previous life just vanished the day she signed for the ultimate project.

Cettie was trained in a world that was full of corruption and other social evils. Then she got specialized in betrayal. Though this was never the basic nature of the girl for the sake of a better future she adopted the role and now she is fully prepared to betray someone very near to her. The second lady is the one with influential powers because she is the heir to the empire.

Sera the one with power in her hands is aware of all the threats from her enemies. The girl is ready to face the challenges thrown in front of her by her enemies but still, she is unaware that her best friend is planted by her enemies to deceive her when the time is right. Jeff Wheeler gives the two ladies a chance to choose for themselves and when the time comes it is up to them to decide.

Kate Rudd also had an idea about the seriousness of the story that’s why she didn’t try to relax during the narration. Some sluggishness on the narrator’s part crushed the impact of Knight’s Ransom and Warrior’s Ransom to some extent luckily the error was not committed here by the narrator. For those girls who want to see real girl power this book is like a dream come true.
