Born of Fire

Born of Fire is a romance novel. It is the second installment of The League Novel series which is written by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Her novels are full of passionate love, romance, and sometimes erotica as well. If that is your go-to genre of novels then Sherrilyn is a perfect novel. Acheron is an erotica novel with lots of hot and steamy scenes. On the other hand, she has also written some soft romance novels where Night Pleasures is one of her finest in that category.

Fred Berman gave a below-average performance. But, he was much better than the disastrous performance by the narrator in the first chapter of the series.

In a universe where the law is developed by the assassins, everyone in such an environment lives in fear. The only exception there was Syn. He was born out of an illegitimate scandal which at a time rocked a dynasty. He always knew quite well that how to deal and survive on the bloodthirsty streets. But, it was an old thing then and this is now the future. Syn was raised and trained as a technical thief until he found a secret that could mean an end to his life. He tried hard to destruct the evidence and since then, he has been on the run. He is now trained as an assassin When Syn is back on the scene then only she could bring him to justice. But, Syn is also the one who supported Dagans several times in tough situations.

The book had a good amount of repetitive backstory which was quite irritating. It was dragged a lot with mentioning of every character which made it a very disappointing book. On top of that, the narration wasn’t good either.
