Born of Defiance is a contemporary romance novel. It is the 10^th chapter in The League novel series which is written by Sherrilyn Kenyon. She is the bestselling author in USA who writes paranormal romance, contemporary romance and urban fantasy. The Dark Hunter series is her most acknowledged work. If we talk about her best novel, then it is arguably her Shadow Fallen. You may find her Blood Trinity novel as a very close second.

Fred Berman is the narrator of this novel. It was an absolutely flawless narration and Fred’s performance definitely added more value to this audiobook.

Talyn Batur was born an Outcast. He spent his entire life while fighting against the preconception of his own people. An Andarion with no father is not the one which anyone would like to be. But, when his companion brother pulled him into a plat then Talyn discovered himself torn between his beliefs of what is right and just, and the loyalty of the planetary government. The plot was set against the Andarion crown. He must look to decide now that either he wants to remain a pawn forever or go on to defy everyone and everything that he has ever known. It is more of a gamble for him which would either take his life or save him. It was in fact a lot more than having his own life at risk when the old enemies aligned with the later ones.

This book by Sherrilyn Kenyon is way too ambitious as a dozen of new characters are introduced in this chapter. Even the regular readers of this series from book one would find it odd. However, the narration of this novel was its strong part.
