Novo and Peyton were never made for each other as one is a trainee in the Black Dagger Brotherhood’s program and the other is a vampire. Peyton as a vampire aristocrat knew that he has one prime objective in life i.e find the perfect match for himself and provide the family its new generation. This is how the family has been marching on for centuries and Peyton was lucky that he quickly found the mate he was looking for.
The tragedy took the vampire by surprise when his mate just found love in someone else. Vampire was not only left heartbroken but this incident also made him confused in his life. He thought that his blood line might end with him if he fails to find another mate quickly. Novo a trainee was also not attracted towards Peyton and then slowly she began to slide towards him.
J.R. Ward added two stories in Lover Unveiled and Claimed and the second love story in this novel is with more twists. Saxton and Ruhn are also in confusion about their love that’s why Jim Frangione gives stress to their voices as well. These four characters not only fight individual battles but also they have other tasks which they have to complete within a fix period.
If they fail in either of the missions they will have their future in terrible shape. Decisions really matter in such situations but characters with broken hearts as a routine tend to make wrong decisions. Novo’s impact on the life of the vampire is another thing of great appeal in the story because her presence serves as light for the vampire.
