Not ordinary and average writers can create a story such as this one, only Liane Moriarty kind of authors can develop such a masterpiece. The past performance in the form of Nine Perfect Strangers and Truly Madly Guilty has paved the way for the author to experiment with this one. There are three female characters in this story and every character has a tragedy of its own.
After a while, they meet each other and finally understand that they can help each other in different ways. One woman is connected to a murder while the other one had her life destroyed because of an accident. The third woman faced some domestic issues from the beginning and she does not want to talk about the thing anymore. Firstly it is Madeline whose character Caroline Lee narrates. She is smart and also she has an energy that can be felt from miles away.
Although she has taken her life seriously all the time she does not complain about the difficulties as she has been blessed with the courage to face anything. The second woman to enter the scene is Celeste who likes to show her bright side to the world. She wants to pretend to be someone who is happy with her charming life but that is not true from the inside.
Lastly comes the young mother named Jane who is with a kid but no one believes that it is her child because she looks so young. Fate brings these three women together and they get into the bigger game in which they can only survive if they work together with complete trust in one another.
