Phil Gigante is the narrator of this audiobook. While he delivers a spectacular performance almost every time, he fell a bit short with this one. Since it is his first romance novel, he can be given a pass. Nonetheless, it is still listenable.

Adrienne de Simone decides to keep Hawk at arm’s length. She has been coerced into a marriage with Hawk but doesn’t plan to make anything out of it. Hawk has other ideas – he is going to make her beg and she will whisper her name with passion and emotion.
The book isn’t as predictable as one would expect and it has a beautiful ending. There is also the aspect of hopeless romance in the story, but that is entirely digestible.
