People as a routine don’t like to be betrayed or deceived as this is something that everyone hates the most in life. Tallie Jones i.e the director of many successful movies was certainly not hoping for such a thing in her life. At the age of thirty-nine, she had everything in her grasp and everything which she was touching was turning into gold. In her personal life, Tallie didn’t have a large number of friends rather she was always with her family. The one closest to her was a live-in lover who happens to be the one she trusts the most.
As she was busy with her most important project, she gets to know something which disturbs her very much. During the auditing of the records of the production company, it was revealed that a few of the receipts were fake because they had no link with the expenditures.
The matter became more serious when such things started to appear in other transactions too. Tallie is surprised at first and then she gets heartbroken because someone very close to her was indulged in this entire thing. That person was withdrawing huge amounts from Tallie’s account in a hidden way. When the relationship breaks and the trust shatters, Tallie thinks that she might not be able to take control of her life once again.
Danielle Steel’s pen and narrator Renee Raudman’s voice can do magic for the audience and they have produced another gem together. Don’t forget to appreciate The Duchess and Without a Trace because these two books also came out of the same pen. Hate and regret reach their peak in this book and it is once again love which solves the problem eventually.
