Winnie used to have big dreams when she was young and she thought that dreams could be achieved. Soon she realized that it was not the case at all because dreams shatter more quickly than one can expect. She wanted to graduate from her college after which she was ready to go into the field of publishing. One day she got a letter from her mother that she was ill and she needed her help. Later she found herself in the middle of nowhere on the day when her mother died.
She never completed her education and her job was also not quite beneficial for her. The only thing which provided her mental peace in such a scenario was a play named Beauchamp Hall. The actors in that television show provided Winnie the escape from reality which she desperately wanted after so many failures. She thought that she had seen the worse and then the author of this novel Danielle Steel adds more troubles for Winnie.
Her boyfriend leaves her quite suddenly and she finds out that she is not getting any kind of promotion in her job either. For the first time in her life, she thought that she was good for nothing. Instead of losing hope in life, Winnie decided to go to the place which provides her hope through television. Thus she bought a ticket and went to the place where her favorite TV program was recorded.
Dan Jan Miller is a fabulous narrator who depicts the positive vibes very neatly in this portion of the story. Winnie finally gets her hopes back and she thinks that she can fulfill her dreams. In His Father’s Footsteps or other books such as Fall from Grace can be left pending but not this one. The continuation of the story will force you to complete it in one go.
