Grayson Death Carlyle was a warrior right from the day when he started his training for the big war. After ten years of training, he was hoping for a good future but the circumstances turned against him. His family was slaughtered and the group of men that his father was leading, perished in front of the enemy. Since then the boy is on his own and he has not looked back. He is now commanding the Gray Death Legion and along with his crew, he has performed some gigantic tasks.
A new mission comes to him in which he has to train the local resistance members against the superior master that was going to kill them very soon. Apparently, the training was not a big task but there was something fishy linked to the entire thing. William H. Keith Jr. wrote the first part in a descriptive way because a lot of explanation was needed about Grayson.
This book which Tren Sparks has narrated is more about the mission and action associated to it. All of us already know who Grayson is and what are the things he is capable of thus there is not a lot about his personality or past. Anyone who is interested in the past of the character of Grayson can give time to other books of the series such as BattleTech Legends: Decision at Thunder Rift.
Don’t think that you will find any romantic tale in this series because the author has not given time to the main character to get involved in all such things. It is always do or die situation for the members of the legion and they are not afraid of it.
