Court Gentry was a patriotic soldier and he still loves his country. He is one of those men who cannot go against their own land at any rate. In the past, he used to work directly for the country and its government but things have changed since his last mission for the agency. Something, when wrong in that last mission and the government ordered the agency to get, rid of the Court Gentry forever.

He was not killed in that mission and from there on he changed his name and became the Gray Man. Now he fights for justice and the protection of his country but he does not obey the commands of others rather he works as a free agent. On this occasion, the author Mark Greaney tells us that the Gray Man is back in America and he is trying to find the reason because of why his own department went against him. He starts with the people who hired him and the people who were working with him on the same mission.

The old links and clues have been eradicated and there are people who want to keep the main character away from the real thing. When the Gray Man looks into the clues he finds out that there is something seriously wrong with the government and there are people who want to get rid of him for the sake of keeping things under the veil forever.

Threat Vector and Dead Eye were with choices and a few allies for the main character. Here the main guy is completely stranded and he thinks that he has tried to eat more than he can chew this time. If he fails then survival will become impossible for sure.
