Awaken Online: Retribution
Travis Bagwell creates another fan-favorite material in the form of this story after the book which got huge fame in this category i.e Awaken Online: Precipice. The author does not try to link the story a great deal with the past but still, it seems to be connected in every possible way. That has been the skill of the author Travis and the narrator David Stifel that they just don’t allow things to divert from the original path.
Mostly the story is about Riley but now and then the listeners get introduced to Jason, Frank, and Alex. Riley is a low achiever in the real world and this makes her feel dejected on most occasions in her life. Her fellows at the school make fun of her all the time and she just cannot answer back because she has nothing to prove in front of them. In this dejection, she goes into the online world of video games and tries to ease herself.
Slowly she starts understanding the surrounding in a better way and thinks that she is well suited to this world and possesses the skill to excel in it. As she goes deeper into this world she not only gets connected to it more strongly but also gets a mission which she wasn’t hoping for.
A strange bow changes her life and in a short time, she is moving towards extreme danger and is fulfilling the quest of the bow’s former owner. It is not only Awaken Online: Catharsis that provides catharsis, this book too provides Riley an opportunity to fight and let her anger flow out of her mind and body.
