Aurora Rising is a Teen and YA romance novel written by the authors’ duo of Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. It is the first chapter in The Aurora Cycle Series. The authors’ duo has worked in tandem for giving many novels that are worth reading or listening to. You will have a good time listening to their Aurora Burning and Gemina novels.
The narration of Aurora Rising has a diverse cast of narrators. It includes Kim Mai Guest, Candice Moll, Jonathan McClain, Lincoln Hoppe, Jonathan Todd Ross, Donnabella Mortel, Steve West, and Erin Spencer. The narration was done in the first person where you will find them jumping quickly from one character to the other. It was all beautifully done and would help you as a listener.
The story of this chapter is set in the year 2380. It is the time when all the graduates of the Aurora Academy are provided with their first task. Tyler Jones is the star cadet in the academy who is all set to go with the recruitment of the squad that will be of his dreams. But, it was his boneheaded attitude that didn’t help. It had him stuck with the remains that no other cadet or anybody else in the Aurora Academy would touch. There were a lot of other characters influencing the decisions of Tyler and other associated things. All this will make a very compelling scenario for a fantastic literary experience.
Aurora Rising makes a great listen. The full cast of characters and then the excellent sound effects made the entire audiobook experience par excellence. It was more like listening to an action-packed movie that has no dull moments at all.
