Jazz Basara was a criminal. Artemis was the first and the only city on the moon. Life there was quite tough especially if you are not a rich tourist. So smuggling there some harmless amount of contraband wouldn’t count as such, right? Not the case when you have got some debts to pay and your job in the capacity of a porter doesn’t make a difference at all.
Things changed drastically when Jazz saw an opportunity to commit a crime there. The reward for that was too lucrative to ignore. But, at the same time, it asked to pull something impossible. Things were even more challenging as she soon discovered that she was trapped within a conspiracy that was targeted to control the entire Artemis itself. His chance for survival lay within a gambit that looked to be a lot riskier than the first one. [Artemis audiobook]
