Usually, this series has been narrated by an entire list of narrators here only Ramon De Ocampo has dealt with everything connected to the narration. So the change in narration would be a bit new for those who are listening to this series with multiple voices attached since the beginning. Brandon Sanderson however has kept the same kind of style in the writing of the novel and it is amusing as ever.
Alcatraz is not alone on this occasion because he has Grandpa Smedry with him. Smedry has shown up quite late in the series and this is the talent of the old man i.e he completes everything late. He takes Alcatraz to Crystallia where he finally finds out that he is like the legends who exist in stories only.
Alcatraz actually belongs to this city and he was kidnapped by the Librarians when he was a little boy. Actually, his mother was behind the entire scheme but now he has returned and is ready to take his place in this society. Alcatraz’s father is also with them but the man is behaving in a strange way and it seems that he has forgotten something which he had to tell his son.
Don’t compare it with The Original or The Way of Kings because this series was not made for serious themes. The author has given us a new phase in his creations and there is more fun in it as compared to the literature in which the author has produced a part from this one. We cannot say that the story is aimed at the young audience only because this is the type of story which can attract all kinds of audiences.
