Abducting Abby

Abducting Abby is the first book in the Dragon Lords of Valdier series written by S. E. Smith. It is an alien paranormal romance series. The author has other works in the same genre. You can check out The Monster’s Caress. Besides that, don’t forget to give Hunter’s Claim consideration.

Since this book is told from the point-of-view of numerous characters, it needed a competent narrator. David Brenin is the man for the job. He has a great voice and distinguished between the male and female characters but doesn’t try to sound feminine. He just shifts his voice slightly so we can gauge that the characters have changed.

Abby is content with her life in the mountains. She creates beautiful works of art and enjoys them in her time of peace. Her situation changes when some golden spaceship lands on the mountain. Now, she finds herself dealing with a tortured alien aboard that ship along with an annoying local sheriff.

Zoran knew he had to find a suitable place to heal after escaping from a Curizan military post. His symbioses mother ship takes him to an unknown planet. He finds there more than he asked for. He finds Abby who might be his true mate. Abby was warned by the sheriff to maintain her distance. Zoran can only do one thing now and that is to abduct Abby. As Zoran helps her adjust to the new life, abducting her from Earth is one thing we will never come to regret.

This book might have everything that you could hope for – out of world chemistry, sexy and lustful scenes, humorous moments, and a host of likable secondary characters. All of this adds up to make a captivating and entertaining romance book.
