Although, he studied to become an attorney writing was always his true passion which he eventually took as his career. He did well in this domain by giving us thrilling and exciting novels like The 6:20 Man and Memory Man novels.
The audio narration of A Gambling Man novel is done by Edoardo Ballerini and Brittnay Pressley. They are both highly skillful narrators and their performance for A Gambling Man has been stellar.
The 1950s were on the horizon. That was the time when Archer was in dire need of to start fresh, especially after an almost fatal detour that he had in Poca City. Archer there hopped on a bus and started his long journey which was bound for California in the west. There was a rumor that the place where he was going was having money to be made if you are lucky, hard-working, criminal, or perhaps all of the three.
Archer made a stop in Reno along the way where a stroke of fortune delivered him with a gob of cash and also a shocking blood-red convertible 1939 Delahaye. On top of that, there was a companion for the final round of the journey who was Liberty Callahan, an aspiring actress. She was looking to try her luck in Hollywood. But the time when the two of them arrived in that Bay town of California, Archer was quick to find out that the groups of people who came there looking for fortune and fame landed themselves in a false and hopeless paradise. It was something that catered to their worst-ever fears and addictions.
David Baldacci doesn’t disappoint and once again he is back with another page-turner.
