Wraithblade is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the first chapter of The Wraithblade Saga which is written by S.M. Boyce. The author is known for writing action-packed science fiction and epic fantasy novels. It will be a really good idea to try out his Lichgates novel. Another good novel that you could consider from the author is Treason.
The audio narration of the subject novel is done by Wayne Mitchell. The performance of Wayne was below average. You will find him even worse with the female voices.
Connor was a penniless drifter who had survived all alone in the last eight years of his life. He was living in a cursed woodland swarming with the monsters. Those were known to eat the grown men as a whole. Forgotten, shunned and with no place to go, he feared death every night. He drew his sword to face it all. After all, it was the forest that helped in burning the fear right out of him many years ago.
This still hasn’t hardened as such the last of the shreds of his heart. Connor heard a mysterious girl screaming which came from the middle of nowhere. He found himself in a brutal battle that almost cost him his life. His bravery must not go unnoticed or unrewarded. In the aftermath of that battle, he discovered himself bonded with the most infamous kind of fascination that the entire world has ever come across. It was the Wraith King.
As far as the content and characterization of the book are concerned then that is simply outstanding. The main issue was with the narration which was very poorly delivered.
