Sixteen books is a massive achievement and to carry on with such compactness is never easy. Michael Anderle has kept a continuation in the series and no fan is ever disappointed by the development of the scenes and characters. A narrator with proper knowledge about the series was needed and Emily Beresford has proved that she was not a wrong choice after all. Emily possesses a history of presenting a nice performance and she has not allowed the critics to give any negative comments on this one either.
Bethany Anne along with other soldiers of his empire have defeated the aliens who came to the horizon in order to get control over the earth. It was the men from Etheric Empire that turned the tables against the alien race. Now they are in rule and they are trying to teach the rebel groups, the way to survive.
Some of the groups think of Bethany and the team as a threat too and they think that they don’t deserve to rule. However, for Bethany, such a response does not matter because the team has other useful things to do instead of dealing with the opinion of the locals. The theme of never surrendering lies at the base of the entire story.
Sword Diplomacy and Alison Brownstone lacked such aggression although they too were stories about war and invasions. Never backing down from a challenge is the code of a true hero. Some soldiers tend to forget about it at the time of trouble but the soldiers from Etheric Empire keep it in mind all the time. This is the main ingredient of their success.
