This great saga started long ago and till this eighth book of the series, it has been going smooth and sound. The rule of Alijah is going on in a superb way and there is no one who can contest the rule. The enemies have perished over the years and there is a small group of rebels that stand in the way. Some think that the rebels don’t exist anymore because they have not shown their strength for a long time.
Philip C. Quaintrell’s Age of the King and A Clash of Fates are also iconic in style. Steven Brand like always has narrated the fight scenes aggressively in this chapter of the series. Doran is not as powerful as he used to be in the past and the rule of the king has no threat from anyone.
Inara is the only hope for the rebellion and she is struggling to get her feet strongly implanted in the ground so that she can fulfill the fate which was announced more than ten thousand years ago. The fight is on and both sides are prepared for it. This could possibly be the last fight between the two sides and Alijah is trying to wipe out the remaining rebels from the face of the world.
There are strong characters on both sides in this eighth part of the series. It is obvious that a deadly fight will be seen on the battleground. The Rebellion will not be able to win the fight if it comes out on the battleground without a proper plan because its forces have perished before and it cannot survive another blow.
