Seven stories by Terry Pratchett takes us to the world of the writer’s imagination where everything looks normal apparently but the outcome is always different. Martin Jarvis, Alex Jennings, Philip Jackson, and Mark Heap have narrated every story differently to show the difference in intensity level. The first one is about Mort i.e a boy who gets appointed as the right hand to Death. The job was not difficult at all and Mort started thinking of it as a luxury until he realized that it had something to do with the destruction of his love life.
Later comes the story of three witches who come face to face with a terrible evil plot against the kingdom in which they were living for a very long time. The king gets killed and the heir is also taken away by the enemy along with the crown which brings a great threat to the safety of the entire state. Yes, it is the Discworld that the author is talking about, here everything happens differently. This world is like a parallel dimension where everything goes.
Eric is one of the major characters in the fifth story and he is the one with the wish for immortality. In order to fulfill his wish, he summons a demon but ironically he summons someone who just cannot get the job done.
Monstrous Regiment and Going Postal will also make you laugh and amazed as well at some stages. There is no stopping to action you just start listening to these seven stories in a non-stop way. Magic, mystery, and demons are everywhere in the Discworld and it is nothing like the human world though apparently, the characters seem to be humans.
