Not many people can digest themes like this one so beware before listening to this book because it might just give you a shock. Usually, people are reluctant to touch bold topics like this but this is not the story that will disappoint you at any rate. Randi Darren tries to keep a lively thought going in his novels and this brings a magnetic effect to the story. Alex is portrayed as a relaxed man in this second book because he has solved many serious matters related to his personal life.
As the Count of Brit, Alex thinks that he has all the matters under his control but there is one thing that is not under his control i.e his soul. Leah still has Alex’s soul under her thumb and it means that he has to serve her whether he wants it or not. Thus Leah selects another mission for Alex and the man realizes that his days of relaxation are finally over.
He has to obey the commands of the one who has his soul, at the same time he has to succeed in the given mission too because failure means losing everything in a single blow. Stephanie Savannah was perhaps not there in Remnant and Wild Wastes: Eastern Expansion but the narrator makes the narration count in this episode.
The Voice of a confused warrior is given to Alex and his character gets rightly portrayed in this way through Stephanie’s correct narration. Alex does not want to fight that’s why he shows reluctance at various places, it is his soul for which he fights and obeys Leah.
