The Restorer

It is surprising how different author always come up with things which previously didn’t exist in literature. Coming up with new things is always a risk because if the author fails to grip the mind of the audience at once then his work will quickly lose the charm. Amanda Stevens accepts the challenge while starting this new series in which she presents Amelia Grey who happens to be a cemetery restorer.

Not many people know the true powers of Amelia which have been transferred in her through her ancestors. Her ancestors didn’t only transfer the amazing powers with the help of which the girl can see the dead, the ancestors also laid down certain laws. According to those laws, Amelia cannot interfere in the matters of the dead no matter how much she wants to do that.

Putting her nose in the business of fate is the second restriction that she has to obey. It was not hard for the girl until she met detective John Devlin who needed her help. The man was investigating a murder case for which he needed help, one thing of which he was unaware of was the fact that he was haunted by ghosts. Only Amelia was able to see those ghosts but giving John a warning about them meant going against the rules.

Don’t bring down The Devil’s Footprints or The Whispering Room from the shelf until you finish this book with an outclass finish. It’s Khristine Hvam as usual in narration and because of this, there is no complaint related to the voice quality. Khristine starts well and then there is an extra effort seen at the ending which makes the finish superb.
