Dark-Hunter is a very long series but the good thing is that every book of the series contains an individual thought. This makes the series easy to understand because one can start from any of the books and can skip whatever he wants. One common thing in the series that has been added by Sherrilyn Kenyon is that it is about vampires and vampire hunters. In every book, the Dark-Hunters are fighting against dark creatures such as the vampires to keep the world and the innocent people living on it safely. Valerius is one of the Dark-Hunters but he is not liked by the Greek hunters because of his changed origin.
Val also keeps himself separate and is aware of what he has to do to survive among so many enemies. One of the bitter enemies that Val had in the past is Kyrian and now he is in love with Tabitha who is somehow linked to Kyrian. Tabitha does not show any interest in Val because she is not impressed by his performance and personality.
However soon both of them are forced to join hands in a mission against a terrible demon that has returned to suck the blood of the innocent. Fred Berman has given a horrifying voice to the demon to make the impact of the story stronger.
Shadow Fallen and Bad Moon Rising were stronger in the story line but here the impact of the developing love between the two hunters is superb. Val is the one who shows his craziness initially for Tabitha and later she too gets gripped by his love.
