The idea of a quantum man gets its way paved in the novel as Derek Kunsken invests a lot of time to tell what the thing is. Adding a new concept in literature needs a lot of explanation from the author. The author fails to present the exact background and support to his idea, he fails very quickly and there is no space for the next parts from that point. First, the author tells us how the quantum man comes into existence, and then we are told about his capabilities and priorities in life.
In the beginning Belisarius i.e the quantum man was performing all the tasks on his own and when he is given a big or we should say the gigantic task to complete, he forms a team for the mission. Success in the mission still looks difficult for the quantum man and his team. Even the success in the mission will come at a very big price as R. Ryder Smith narrates the threats of war.
An interstellar war can start after this mission so whether the mission is successful or not the result will be chaos for the people of the world. Like Pollen from a Future Harvest, the main character of the tale had to decide on his own which role he would finally play at the climax.
It is Belisarius’ decision on which the fate of the world will depend in the end. If he selects the wrong path then he along with his team will also face nothing but destruction. Just hold your horses and wait for the last round of fight.
